It could be because I've reworked how the game connects to Discord. It now creates a separate thread for that using renpy.invoke_in_thread(), so that it doesn't crash if the the connection is blocked by a firewall. This was the only substantial change made in the 1.2 version, so it must be a false positive. May I see a screenshot of what the antivirus is detecting?
I uninstalled it and reinstalled it (because it wouldn't launch), and now it seems fine. So, thanks for getting back to me, but I guess it is okay now.

yeaahhhhh, this mix up has kept me up for like two years now. so it goes. i’ll make sure next thing i’ll do has no character mix ups.
